iphone app to locate or brick phone.

Well, I finally was able to get my new iphone to replace my phone that was stolen. I was thinking of something I thought I read about last year sometime about an application that you can get to put on your phone. It gives you a code number to keep. Should your iphone be stolen, you can go onto the app's site and enter the code. When you do this, it will brick your phone so the people who stole it will be unable to use it.

Is this something I've fabricated in my head? I'm not sure if it was an app or an article that I read before I purchased my last iphone. Just wondering if anyone here knows of something like this or has my imagination been working overtime again?

Thanks for your help

FindMyI is available in Cydia and it does exactly what you want. You make an account on the iPhone and then sign into the same account on your computer and you can marks it as stolen and can display a unexitable meessage on the screen telling then that it is stolen. Also you ca. Track the phone on the computer, the free version displays a rough are but I think you can pay to get more precise locations.

You should jailbreak. The most you'll ever have to do is restore. :D
